Music camp is a great way to introduce children to playing an instrument and to inspire them into developing a Musical talent they might not know they have. Music camp is also a fun, unique way to introduce children to a lifelong love of music.At Santa Monica Music Camp, your child will enjoy playing music 3 hours per day plus a music theory class, all in a 6-hour summer camp-style environment that includes outdoor play, sports, movie time, and snacks. Expect great improvement with the support of our expert teachers and staff, and a showcase concert every Friday to show you what they’ve learned. Our Music Day Camp is held at the Santa Monica Conservatory of Music on
Weekdays from 9:00am – 3:00pm
No previous experience in music is required to join the Beginning Music Camp. When campers arrive, their instructor evaluates them through daily activities and groups them with students of similar ages and levels. Our staff has years of experience teaching advanced students and complete beginners. Children of all levels and skills will feel at home in our camp.
CAMP SCHEDULE OVERVIEW :

8:45-9:00am: Sign-in, drop-off, and registration for new students.
9-9:30am: Musical good morning.
9:30-10:15am: Instrument specific warm-ups and method practice.
10:15-10:25am: Snack break.
10:25-11:10am: Group rehearsals.
11:10-11:45am: Electives.
11:45am-12:45pm: Lunch and outdoor play at Memorial Park.
12:45–1:30pm: Movie time.
1:30–2:15pm: Group rehearsals.
2:15-3:00pm: Music Theory class.
3:00-3:15pm: Camper sign-out and pick-up.
